Holster Types and Terms

Common Holster Descriptions

IWB

Starting at $45

IWB is an acronym for the term "Inside The Waistband" It is worn on the inside of your pants.

OWB

Starting at $60

OWB is an acronym for the term "Outside the Waistband" It is worn on the outside of your pants via a belt.

AIWB

Starting at $90

AIWB is an acronym for the term "Appendix Inside the Waistband. They come standard with a claw and are meant to be worn between 11-12 for left hand and 12-1 for right hand shooters

Thigh Rig

Starting at $120

The Name Thigh Rig is simply where the holster is mounted. We use a G-Code System which allows use of any holster with a RTI Plate and a G-Code Base.

G- String

Starting at $20

The G-String is a holster that only covers the trigger guard of a firearm. Comes with adjustable retention and a lanyard. Good way to carry in a purse without a bulky Holster.

The Wedge

Starting at $50

The Wedge is something incorporated into the IWB Holster. What it does is it props the muzzle out passed the controls of the firearm so it sits more flat under your clothes.

Pocket Holster

Starting at $40

The Pocket Holster is exactly how it sounds.

It can be worn either left or right pocket and it incorporates a hook built into the holster. as you grab the firearm and pull from your pocket, the hook grabs the inside of your pocket and allows the firearm to come out and the holster to drop to the floor.

Cant / Canted

Cant is the tilt of the gun as it sits on your person. Forward cant would be the handgun tilted forward in front of you. No cant would be straight up and down. We offer no cant, cant, and adjustable cant (+$5)

Sweatshield

The Sweatshield is the amount of Holster material that accompanies the firearm up to the rear sight. Full Sweatshields are always recommended on IWB Holsters. They prevent sweat from entering the firearms holster or contacting the firearm itself and to help prevent clothing from entering the holster while reholstering. We offer Full, 1/2 and no Sweatshield at no extra cost

RMR Cut

RMR cut is adapting the holster to work with a reflex red dot sight. RMR cuts are cut from the ejection port to the end of the Sweatshield. They are of no cost to incorporate into your holster

Light Bearing

Light Bearing are holster that incorporate a weapons mounted flashlight on the holster. 

If a holster is made with a weapons light, a pistols without a light will NOT work with a light bearing holster.

Strong Hand

Strong Hand means what side you want your holster on. If youre Right handed or Left handed

Retention

The amount of force clamping on the firearm. All Holsters come with adjustable retention so you the user can adjust to your liking.

The Claw

The Claw which is used in AIWB rigs. Is designed to add a deeper concealment. The claw rides in line with the belt. and when you tighten your belt it rotates the firearms grip into your body for less printing.


Holster Parts and Options

FOMI Clip

Which stands for Fold Over Mold Injected Clip is what is used on IWB Holsters. It is the device that attaches the kydex holster to your pants/belt. These clips Come in 1.5 and 1.75 inches wide, which represents the width of your belt.

Speed Clips

Speed Ease Clips or Speed clips are used for OWB Holster options and are used for the sole purpose of quick on and quick off. These are recommended for lighter handguns although still work with the heavier ones. 

Paddle

The Paddle, made by Bladetech is an attachment for OWB Holsters to allow a use to carry without the use of a belt. Although a belt is always preferred.  These rigs are quick on and off as well and disperse weight through the large paddle section. The also have adjustable cant built right into them.

Belt Loops

We use BDC belt loops, they come in 1.5 or 1.75 width for the belt. They are used to attach the OWB Holster to your person via a belt. The belt runs through them and creates are strong anchor for a holster

Combat Loops

Combat loops are a hinged and locking attachment. Its an easy on off and for use with OWB holsters. it allows whatever your carrying to be able to be carried at vertical or horizontal positions. It also allows you to lock the clip so you dont have an accidental opening. Clip can fit belts ranging from 3/4" to 2 inches in width.

Tek Lok

Tek Lok Dutys are a hinged and locking attachment. Its an easy on off and for use with OWB holsters. it allows whatever your carrying to be able to be carried at vertical or horizontal positions. It also allows you to lock the clip so you dont have an accidental opening. Clip can fit belts ranging from 1.25" to 2.25 inches in width. Unlike the Combat Loop, this Mount features a combination of movements to unlock. Swing out locking jaw, pinch and lift. very secure and used for Duty Rigs

MOLLE

MOLLE Clips are used to mount holsters and gear to your MOLLE vest and plate carrier.

They come in a variety of sizes. The utilize a spring locking rod at the bottom of the mount.
